  • Each weekend food bag contains the following core items:

    • 2 Cans of Protein

    • 2 Single Serving Cereal Boxes

    • 2 Shelf Stable Milk Single Serve Cartons

    • 2 Applesauce Pouches

    • 2 Single Serve Juice Cartons

  • FBP would not exist without our volunteers! With our working Board to oversee our operations and the physical labor of our delivery volunteers, the majority of our work is carried out by volunteers. Join us by visiting the ‘Get Involved’ page.

  • Students in our program use their own backpacks. If you have backpacks to donate, you can reach out directly to a school.

  • As a nonprofit organization, we strive to use as much of our donations as we can towards food for our students. At this time, we rely on the generosity of our partners and schools to house our products & supplies. Have a space you’d like to donate to store food? Contact info@forsythbackpackprogram.org

  • Forsyth Backpack Program is a local non-profit who fights childhood hunger for the one in five children experiencing food insecurity in Forsyth County. We provide nutritious food directly to students in WS/FCS for weekends and long holidays. Join us in fighting hunger, one backpack at a time to create a better today for these kids so we can help create a better future for them and all of us.
